I have over 20 years’ experience in education and training within industry managing, designing and delivering learning solutions, both on a one to one basis, to classrooms of students and to thousands of students.
- I am a qualified teacher with 7 year’s face to face tutoring and 5 year's online tutoring experience with impressive outcomes, and currently teach a couple of days a week at North Lindsey College (Business, Economics and Finance) at the Open University (Business) and at ICS Learn (CIPD).
I have deep subject matter knowledge from my roles in industry combined by a real ability to engage with students, bring subjects to life and explain things really simply. I have worked in education at schools, within Businesses, in Banking and in Information Communication Technology and am able to provide tutees with real life practical examples in business and economics which really adds to their learning.
As a volunteer I have been chair of a local sports club junior section managing over 280 juniors, 40 coaches and volunteers. I'm known for a sense of fun and humour, facilitating people's development bringing the best out of them by bringing subjects to life.
I'm a former field hockey and tennis coach, am married with a couple of teenagers so I understand the parent's view. I have coached a junior field hockey team to three County Cup wins in a row.
